JD Vance has said the US has offered to normalise economic relations with Iran if it is “willing to act like a normal country” and that Trump’s fundamental policy is to prevent Tehran from getting a nuclear weapon, Al Jazeera reports.
“We have this ceasefire that’s in place, I think it’s six or seven days old, this ceasefire is holding,” Vance said. “The president doesn’t want to make a small deal, he wants to make the grand bargain.”
