US President Donald Trump has told an Italian newspaper that he was “shocked” by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and “wrongly thought that she had the courage needed to help the US in its war with Iran”, according to Italy’s ANSA news agency.
“Giorgia Meloni doesn’t want to help us in the war, I’m shocked,” Trump has told Corriere della Sera, according to ANSA.
Trump asks, “Do people like the fact that your president isn’t doing anything to get the oil? Does she like it? I can’t imagine.
“I’m shocked by her. I thought she had courage, but I was wrong.“
