GUJRANWALA, June 26: More than 21,000 litres of petrol and diesel worth one million rupees and cash were looted from a filling station near Eminabad on Monday. Police said a seven-man gang riding on two oil tankers visited the filing station and got 15,000 liters of diesel and 6,000 liters of petrol pumped into the tankers.

When the filling was over, they whipped out their weapons, snatching Rs 122,000 in cash from the cashier and drove away after disconnecting phones.

Half a dozen outlaws stormed into the house of Chaudhry Basharat and Liaqat Cheema on GT Road near Ghakkhar.

After locking the inmates in a room, they collected Rs400,000 in cash and gold worth Rs2 million and escaped.

Seven gunmen entered the house of landlord Haji Faqir Muhammad in Rakh Kiranwali village and took away Rs300,000 and 30-tola gold jewellery and mobile phones.

Meawhile, Wahando police claimed to have busted a four-member gang of robbers and seized arms and looted goods.
