Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claims that Israel has assassinated Alireza Tangsiri, the naval commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

In a video statement on X, the Israeli PM has said Tel Aviv will “continue to strike with full force at the targets of the Iranian terror regime”.

“Last night, we eliminated the commander of the Revolutionary Guards’ navy. This man has a lot of blood on his hands, and in addition, he is the one who led the closure of the Strait of Hormuz,” Netanyahu has said, hailing the action as an example of cooperation with the United States.
