The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) says talks between the US and Iran are likely to go beyond the nuclear issue.

Rafael Grossi has told Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera that missiles, militias and security guarantees would all be on the table this time.

He added that three weeks of war changed the conversation, with Iran’s economic and energy infrastructure badly hit.

Grossi has suggested the US would push for zero enrichment, but said a temporary suspension, potentially lasting five to 10 years, could be workable for both sides. 

He warned that Iranian nuclear facilities had suffered some damage but nothing decisive, and that the country retains all its nuclear capabilities.

“The solution cannot be military,” he said.
