Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has emphasised the need for de-escalation in the Middle East during a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong, according to the Foreign Office (FO).
“DPM/FM underscored the urgent need to promote de-escalation in the Middle East and the wider region through dialogue and diplomacy,” the FO said, adding that the discussion revolved around regional and global developments.
The pair agreed to remain in touch over issues of mutual interest.
