Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that the Strait of Hormuz is “not closed”, but that ships are hesitating to cross in fear of the US and Israel’s “war of choice”.
In a post on X, he said, “No insurer — and no Iranian — will be swayed by more threats.”
He added that freedom of navigation could not exist without freedom of trade: “Respect both — or respect neither.”
