Speaking to reporters, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt says that Washington is “already starting to see them (Nato) answer the president’s call” on unblocking the Strait of Hormuz.

“As I said earlier this week, it’s common sense for President [Donald] Trump to call on our Nato allies to step up and do more to help secure the Strait of Hormuz,” she has said.

She has made the comments after Nato chief Mark Rutte issued a video statement saying that the alliance and Trump’s administration are “coming together to make sure that we can be able to secure the Strait of Hormuz”.
