The PTI has issued a statement, strongly condemning the US and Israel’s “unlawful and unprovoked attack against the Islamic Republic of Iran”.

The party expressed “grave concern over the unequivocal backing” provided by the US for the attacks and said: “Such reckless actions constitute a blatant violation of international law and the sovereignty of a regional state, further destabilising an already volatile Middle East.”

It warned that “an escalating cycle of retaliation risks pushing the entire region toward a wider and more devastating conflict”.

“PTI, as per its leader Imran Khan’s vision and past policies, urges all parties to exercise maximum restraint and immediately pursue diplomatic engagement to de-escalate tensions on all fronts.

“The people of the Middle East have suffered enough from prolonged wars, foreign interventions, and geopolitical rivalries,” the party’s statement read.

The PTI asserted that Pakistan “must adopt a principled foreign policy rooted in peace, regional stability, respect for sovereignty, and adherence to international law”.
