Punjab Relief Commissioner Nabeel Javed has said that 999,000 people, who had been trapped in the floods, were evacuated to safe locations.

He added that 780,000 animals were evacuated in rescue and relief activities. Javed said that 395 relief camps, 392 medical camps and 336 veterinary camps were established across the province.

More than 2,400,000 people and 3200 villages were affected due to severe flooding in the Ravi, Sutlej and Chenab rivers, according to the PDMA’s report.
