Punjab DG Irfan Ali Kathia has said that the floodwaters at Ganda Singh Wala on the Sutlej River right now would reach Head Sulemanki in the next 24-36 hours and “achieve a peak”.

Addressing the media in Lahore, the PDMA DG said that the flow of water would increase at Head Islam near Vehari in the next 48-55 hours.

Noting that there had been more rain, Kathia said more waterflows had entered from India into River Chenab, leading to a medium-level flood at Marala.
