RAWALPINDI: A woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by a son of her landlord in Dhamial area, police said.

The suspect along with his father and a cousin also beat her and her husband and injured them, the police report said.

The rape victim, resident of Girja Road, complained to the police on Wednesday that her husband was on night duty when the suspect forcibly entered her room one week ago and raped her.

She said after she shouted, the suspect’s wife reached the spot and started beating her. In the meantime, the victim’s husband also reached home and tried to rescue her.

However, the father of the suspect and his cousin also reached there and beat her and her husband. She said the alleged rapist hit her head with a pot while his father tore her clothes.

According to the FIR, the woman and her husband saved their lives by fleeing the scene.
