SAHIWAL: Sahiwal has become the first district in Punjab to integrate the PULSE digitised Property Transfer System (PTS) for the transfer of plots in private housing societies.
The announcement was made at a ceremony chaired by Commissioner Shoaib Iqbal and Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood. The event was organised jointly by PULSE, Punjab Land Record Authority and CEOs from eight private housing societies of Sahiwal district.
The housing societies now linked to the system include Chichawatni City, Lalazar Colony, Burewala Road, Awan Town, 40/12-L, Jeewan City (Phase 5), Sahiwal Estate, Jeewan City Executive, Jeewan City (Phase 2), and Jeewan City – Madina Block.
Under the new system, property transactions will be streamlined, offering instant access to property record, official fee payment, payment verification, registration and document authentication -- all with a single click.
Approved housing societies will also enable instant biometric verification for buyers and sellers through integrated NADRA data, along with digital access to plot maps. This initiative will eliminate the need for multiple visits to banks and government offices, significantly reducing processing time.
Shoaib Iqbal said the system would benefit buyers, sellers and both local and overseas investors, ensuring secure and fraud-free real estate transactions. He emphasized that all stakeholders—including sellers, buyers, investors, and housing society owners—will gain from the enhanced efficiency and transparency.
During the ceremony, the CEO of a private housing society demonstrated the real-time transfer process of a plot by scanning a QR code on the property document. Following this, the buyer received the official transfer report from Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood.
