KARACHI: The Sindh government is gearing up to expand its electric bus service to other major cities in the province after Karachi.

In an announcement after a meeting with a high-level delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) here on Tuesday, Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon emphasised the government’s commitment to the electric vehicle sector.

“The future belongs to electric vehicles and the Sindh government desires exceptional progress in this area,” he said.

The ADB delegation showed interest in investing in the Sindh’s public transport system.

Along with Minister Sharjeel, the meeting was attended by Transport Secretary Asad Zamin and Sindh Mass Transit Authority’s Managing Director Kamal Dayo. The discussion remained focused on potential investments in the region’s transport infrastructure.
