“It’s very concerning right now that the number of people who are killed in the attacks is exceeding the number of injured arriving in the hospitals since March 18, the day the Israeli military scaled up the attacks across the Gaza Strip,” Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud reports.

At least 634 people have been killed, the majority of them women and children — again, they are making up the vast majority of people killed, he adds.

“Meanwhile, there are questions about how people are going to survive these harsh living conditions created by the ongoing mass bombardment, as well as the ongoing blockade,” Mahmoud reports, adding that for more than three weeks, no trucks carrying humanitarian aid have entered the Gaza Strip.

“Prices are skyrocketing, making it very difficult for people to get by,” he reports. “Food, water, and medical supplies are running out, with the amount available not being sufficient to cover the greater demand created by months of devastation and destruction, as well as the ongoing blockade.

“But also, the constant fear of attacks and the constant displacement are not only wearing on people physically but also mentally — the fact that they cannot live a stable life has been one of the hardest things to deal with on a daily basis,” Mahmoud reports.
