SWABI: The police arrested a TikToker on charges of making videos and photos of women and girls while they were shopping and then uploading them on his account.

The police said the women were shopping in the Raja Bazaar of Topi city when they were snapped.

They said neither the women and girls nor the traders were aware when the videos clips were made. However, they added uploading of videos and photos on the social media caused an uproar and traders lodged a complaint with the Topi city police station.

They identified the accused as Ali Syed, belonging to Shahidan area of Topi city.

Meanwhile, a campaign was launched on the social media, urging people to educate their women to be extra vigilant while shopping in bazaars.

Also on Monday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, leaders of political parties and dignitaries on Monday visited the residence of former Jamaat-i-Islami senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan in Ahad Khan village to offer condolences on the murder of his brother.

Shakeel Ahmad Khan, brother of Mushtaq Ahmad, was shot dead by his neighbour on Sunday.

Governor Kundi expressed sympathy with the bereaved family and offered Fateha for the departed soul.

Jamaat naib emir Prof Mohammad Ibrahim also visited the residence of the bereaved family and offered Fateha for the departed soul.
