ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police have booked unidentified police officials and men in civvies for the alleged kidnapping of a citizen from the Koral police area.

The case has been registered at the Koral police station under section 365 of PPC.

According to the FIR, a team of police officials along with other individuals in plain clothes abducted Mohammad Kamran in broad daylight.

The missing man’s brother urged the police to conduct an inquiry into the kidnapping, trace the whereabouts of his brother and recover him.

Moreover, he requested the police if his brother was arrested,disclose the reason behind his arrest.

Talking to Dawn, Farmanullah, the missing man’s brother, said that the policemen along with others abducted his brother on Feb 13.

He claimed that the police were unable to answer whether his brother was formally arrested or kidnapped. He said that shortly after his brother was abducted, he informed the police and the area police reached the spot.

Mr Farman also claimed that people present at the crime scene filmed the alleged kidnapping. “Later, when I approached the police to lodge a complaint, the police refused to register a case,” he said. The police reportedly registered a case only after he showed a video of the abduction.

After over 15 days, the police registered the case, however, his brother is still missing. When contacted, local police officials were unable to provide satisfactory answers.
