LAHORE: Pakistan’s female cyclists Rabia Gharib and Zainab Rizwan earned silver and bronze medals respectively in the Asian Road and Para Cycling Championship being staged in Bangkok.

According to the information released by the Pakistan Cycling Federation on Sunday, Rabia clinched silver in the 50 and above category clocking 18:44.515 and an average speed of 34.25kph. She became the first Pakistan woman to win a silver medal in this event.

Meanwhile, Zainab won bronze in the 40-44 category with a time of 16:32.413 and an average speed of 37.76kph.

A day earlier, Ali Ilyas also bagged a gold medal for Pakistan in the same event.
