FIA arrests human trafficker

TOBA TEK SINGH: The Faisalabad Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a member of an 11-person gang involved in human trafficking on Friday.

A press release stated that Waqas Nazir was apprehended in a raid in Chenab Nagar, while five members of his gang had already been arrested.

It said the suspects had received Rs40 million from 31 people for facilitating their travel to Europe by preparing fake documents and visas.

It further mentioned that two members of the gang were operating the human smuggling network from abroad.

DIES: A youth died after being hit by a car on Motorway M3 near the Pirmahal interchange on Friday.

Reports said Adnan of Multan had eloped with a girl from Rajana Chak 261-GB and they were at the Motorway to catch a bus for Multan when the accident occurred.

The girl was seriously injured and admitted to Pirmahal THQ hospital.
