JOHOR: Pakistan’s opening fixture of the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup against the United States was washed out without a ball being bowled at the Johor Cricket Academy Oval on Saturday.

The other Group ‘B’ match, which was to be played between England and Ireland, was also abandoned, leaving all the four teams in the group having one point each against their name.

The top three teams will advance to the Super Six stage at the end of the group matches. Pakistan will take on England in their second match on Monday at the same venue.
