SWAT: A senior lawyer and his brother were shot dead by unidentified assailants in Gulkada area of Saidu Sharif here on Tuesday, the police said.

They said that an old enmity led to the shooting incident, in which lawyer Malik Arshad and his brother, Malik Mustajab, were killed. The assailants fled the scene on a motorcycle.

The police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.

Both the brothers were on their way to court when they were ambushed by the attackers.

The police said father of the deceased filed an FIR, nominating Zafar Ali, Fazal Rabi, Malak Sardar Ali, Malak Mahboob Ali, Malak Gohar Ali and Malak Taimoor, for the double murder.
