TAXILA: A school van driver was arrested on the charge of sexually harassing a minor girl in his vehicle in Mullah Mansoor village of Attock Khurd on Tuesday.

According to police sources, a citizen reported to the police that his five-year-old niece lives with him as her father was working abroad. He said when the girl returned home from school on Tuesday, she was in distress and there were bruises on her cheeks. When asked, the girl told him that her van driver sexually harassed her. Police registered a case against the driver and sent him behind bars.

Separately, a man was arrested for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy at gunpoint in Nafees Chowk in the limits of Attock Saddar police station.

Police were told by the father of the boy that he had gone to a gym where a man along with his friend assaulted him at gunpoint.

Poultry dealer looted

In a broad light robbery incident, two armed men posing themselves as policemen looted a poultry dealer in the Sheenka area in the limits of Hazro police station on Tuesday.

Awan Khan reported to the police that he came from Topi in KP to purchase poultry items. When he reached near Sheenka, two men wearing police caps and carrying wireless sets intercepted his vehicle and on the pretext of search snatched Rs850,000.
