According to Prime Minister Netanyahu’s office, Israel’s war cabinet has directed its negotiating team to resume talks regarding a potential truce deal for the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza, Al Jazeera reports.
The statement, however, does not specify the particular directive or a timeframe for the talks to resume.
Previous rounds of negotiations regarding hostage release and ceasefire had reached an impasse after Israel rejected an Egyption-Qatari ceasefire proposal and subsequently launched an operation in Rafah, Al Jazeera added.
