The White House has said each country can make its own decision on whether to recognise a Palestinian state but US President Joe Biden thinks direct negotiations by the parties is the best approach, Reuters reports.
White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan made the comments in a news briefing after Ireland, Spain and Norway announced they would recognise a Palestinian state on May 28, prompting an angry response from Israel.
