RAWALPINDI: Another video surfaced on social media on Wednesday showing some woman occupants of a car abusing Motorway police officials who had stopped them for speeding near Kallar Kahar on Wednesday.

In the video clip, the women could be heard alleging that the police officials had attempted to snatch their mobile phone and demanded gratification.

Responding to the allegations, the police official says in the video that the Motorway police did not seek gratification, and accuses the women of trying to blackmail them.

The women could also be heard asking the police officials not to take their pictures and make video. However, the police official could be seen continuously making video and accusing the women of misbehaving and using abusive language.

“You should be thankful that I have not killed you,” one of the women could be heard saying, also threatening to slap the official and warning him that she would get him removed from the post.

A spokesman for the Motorway police, when contacted, claimed that the police officials had stopped the car for speeding near Kallar Kahar. However, he said, the women started misbehaving with the officials and even threatened to block the motorway. He said the women were later allowed to go without paying fine.

The spokesman, however, said they would take legal action against them and an application was being filed in this regard with the concerned police station.

He did not disclose the identity of the women and the number of car occupants.

Last month, a video clip had surfaced on social media showing a woman driver hitting and injuring a motorway police officer with her car on M2 North Chakri. She was later arrested on charges of attempted murder, negligent driving and obstructing a police official from performing his duty.

The police had been successful in detaining the woman after about three-and-a-half months.

According to the police spokesperson, the police have arrested the woman who had hit and injured a motorway police officer with her car when she was spotted to be speeding and served a challan on January 1.
