PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court on Tuesday ordered transfer and posting of 10 district and sessions judges.

According to an order released by PHC Registrar Ikhtiar Khan, a district and sessions judge (DSJ), Babar Ali Khan, who was posted as officer on special duty at the high court, has been transferred to Malakand.

The director general of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy, Ms Farah Jamshed, has been transferred to Upper Dir as DSJ. She is replaced by Jehanzeb Shinwari, who was repatriated from the post of judge anti-terrorism court Matta (Swat) based in Mardan.

Another DSJ Mohammad Adil Khan, who was an OSD in the high court, was transferred and posted as special judge (central) anti-corruption Peshawar.

Similarly, director NJPIC (National Judicial Policy Implementation Committee), Mrs Sofia Waqar Khattak, was transferred as DSJ Kohat, replacing the incumbent Altafur Rehman, who was transferred to the high court as OSD for onward posting.

The other transferred judges include: Fazal Sattar, from Upper Dir to PHC as OSD for onward posting as judge ATC Matta; Mamrez Khan, from OSD to additional registrar (administration); Mohammad Shoaib, from post of dean KP Judicial Academy to Abbottabad as DSJ and Ghulam Abbas from OSD to the post of director NJPIC.
