FAKE PROMISES

FAKE PROMISES: Despite assurances by the highest office in the province, Bannu in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has continued to experience nearly 16 hours of electricity loadshedding during the holy month of Ramazan. This persistent issue has impeded the daily activities of people, but has received little attention from the authorities. The issue needs to be resolved.

DILAPIDATED SCHOOL: The middle school in Razai Bazar village in Kolowa town, located west of Turbat, has been in a dilapidated state for a considerably long time. Besides, the school faces an acute shortage of teachers. The classrooms have been converted into wheat warehouses by the local farmers, forcing the students to complete their studies elsewhere. The government should make the school functional once again.

UNPAVED PATH: The absence of a proper road infrastructure in parts of Agrovil Colony in Badin has been creating difficulties for commuters. Area residents face challenges navigating through unpaved and uneven terrains, increasing the risk of accidents and injuries. Also, it negatively impacts the overall quality of life of the area residents, and hampers community development. It restricts access to essential services, such as emergency response vehicles, waste management and utility maintenance. The relevant authorities should resolve the issue.

STREET LIGHTS: Street lights in Rawalpindi’s Shakrial area are mostly out of order. Parts of the locality, like Street No 2, remain in complete darkness after sunset. This leads to traffic mishaps and, more critically, incidents of theft and snatchings. Despite several complaints, no action has been taken by the relevant authorities. The problem is affecting the safety and peace of mind of the area residents.
