At least two people have been killed by the Israeli military’s air raids on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, Palestinian Wafa news agency reports.

The raids also caused “extensive property destruction” in the area, according to Wafa.

At the same time, Israeli tanks fired at and damaged residential complexes in Zahra city, to the north of Nuseirat.

Earlier, Al Jazeera correspondent Hani Mahmoud reported that intense Israeli aerial attacks were underway in central Gaza. These are the areas people were told to evacuate to during the initial weeks of the conflict, he said.
