LAHORE: Pakistan will play three One-day Internationals and as many T20s against 50-over world champions Australia later this year, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Tuesday.

The tour will mark the start of Australia’s home summer with the first ODI to be played on November 4 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. After completing the one-day series in Adelaide and Perth, Pakistan and Australia will play the T20s in Brisbane, Sydney and Hobart.

The tour will see the two teams clashing in bilateral white ball games for the first time since March 2022, when Australia visited Pakistan after a gap of 24 years for three Tests, as many ODIs and a one-off T20. Pakistan last toured Australia in December-January for three Tests, losing the series 3-0.

Their next visit will be followed by the home side’s five-match Test series against India, starting November 22, Cricket Australia said Tuesday as it released its international schedule for the 2024-25 season.

After the first Test in Perth, the series will move to Adelaide for a day-night Test and then Brisbane’s Gabba, which traditionally was the opening venue of Australia’s Test summer.

The Melbourne Cricket Ground will stage the Boxing Day Test and the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series will wrap up at Sydney Cricket Ground starting on January 3.
