Responding to the PTI’s claims about the lack of facilities provided to ex-premier Imran Khan, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has said the PTI founder was instead “leading a luxurious life” there.

Tarar added that the reason for these actions was the PTI’s claim that Imran was not being provided with the facilities he was liable to at Adiala Jail.

He said that upon seeking a report from the Punjab government, he found out that “Imran Khan sahib is leading a luxurious life in jail”. “Three rooms are in his use and an entire gallery for walking,” Tarar added.

The information minister further said that even though according to jail rules, a prisoner was allowed one meeting per week, Imran was allowed four.
