Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, referring to the PTI, said that a political party “does not see anything beyond itself” while the government was trying to eradicate poverty and unemployment.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he recalled a previous letter written by the PTI to the IMF and the recent one.
“Who is even asking you and with what authority were you writing this letter?” he asked.
“The protection of the state and the national interests is our top-most responsibility,” Tarar said, adding that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was holding three to four meetings in a day only on the economy.
