National Assembly Opposition Leader Omar Ayub has criticised the Islamabad police for “selectively committing torture” against PTI workers.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the PTI MNA named Islamabad police chief Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, Interior Secretary Aftab Akbar Durrani, SSP Operations Malik Jamal Zafar and District Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon, stating that they “violated human rights and selectively committed torture against workers of the PTI”.

He also assailed the police of Sindh, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding that “whether through the NA or the provincial assemblies”, the party would “get their accounts checked through the Public Accounts Committee”.

“I have to say that police performance has remained 0 out of 0,” Ayub said.
