Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdul Aziz has congratulated Asif Ali Zardari on becoming the 14th president of Pakistan, Radio Pakistan reports.

In an official message to the president, he wished him success and “further progress and prosperity to the people of Pakistan”.

The Saudi king also highlighted the depth of brotherly relations between the two countries and expressed the keenness to further develop these ties.

Saudi Crown Prince Muhammed Bin Salman also felicitated the president on taking the oath of office.

The crown prince wished Zardari success as well as “further progress and prosperity” to the people of Pakistan.
