The Israeli army has said that its forces carried out new operations in the Hamad neighbourhood in the southern city of Khan Younis in Gaza, Al Jazeera reports.
A military statement on X said its troops raided “terrorist infrastructure” in the neighbourhood and found weapons.
Soldiers are working to evacuate residents from the fighting area while arresting fighters, the statement added.
The army also said that it continued to carry out operations in the centre of the enclave, where it killed about 20 fighters, using sniper fire, tank shells and remotely manned aircraft.
