PPP Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that the anti-rigging demonstrations by the GDA and JUI-F were merely efforts to “save face” following their defeat in the Feb 8 elections.

In a statement, Khuhro said the chiefs of both parties remained absent from rallies conducted by their respective parties.

“The sit-ins by the GDA and JUI-F are against the masses and should cease,” he emphasised.

Khuhro reiterated the PPP’s determination to secure a fourth term in government in Sindh, saying the country could not afford any further misadventures.
