Hamas says in a statement that Israel is on a “campaign of incitement” against UN agencies that deliver aid to besieged Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera reports.

It highlighted an Israeli accusation of “collusion” between the World Health Organization (WHO) and Hamas, which the global body firmly rejected on Friday.

It also pointed to allegations that UNRWA staff participated in the October 7 attack, which led the US, Canada and Australia to cut their funding of the organisation for Palestinian refugees.

“We stress the importance of the role of these agencies in providing relief to our people and documenting the crimes of the occupation,” it said.
