Khaled Elgindy, a senior fellow and political scientist at the Middle East Institute, has said in a post on X that eight students of Columbia University were hospitalised after former Israeli soliders attacked fellow students at a protest on campus with a chemical spray.
The government no longer has the budgetary space to continue carrying hundreds of billions of rupees in untargeted subsidies while the power sector itself remains trapped in circular debt, inefficiencies, theft and under-recovery.
