Sri Lanka has called for an “immediate ceasefire” in the Gaza Strip and a commitment to achieving a two-state solution, Al Jazeera reports.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe, at a meeting with ambassadors from ten Middle Eastern countries, said that the two-state solution “could not be achieved with a single state”.
Moreover, he underscored that Israeli settlers need to be “removed” from the occupied West Bank, which needs to be run by a “functional Palestinian Government”.
