An Israeli air raid has hit a family home in the al-Bassa area of Deir el-Balah, a town in central Gaza, Al Jazeera reports.

A resident of the town who witnessed the attack told Al Jazeera at least six ambulances have rushed victims to the nearest hospital, named al-Aqsa.

The resident also said so-called quadcopters — low flying drones equipped with rifles — are shooting at people near the hospital.

“This explosion was 50 metres away from me. We’ve been hearing them for the past 90 days,” the resident said. “But this level of fighting during the daytime is unusual. Usually it gets much much worse at night.”
