Al Jazeera has confirmed reports of an attack about 700 metres (0.4 miles) away from the Kuwaiti hospital in southern Rafah City. “It was a car with three people inside that was targeted by a drone. The three were killed in the strike at the entrance to a residential home,” Hani Mahmoud reports from Rafah, southern Gaza.

“What’s interesting this time is people didn’t hear the sound of the missile, it was silent. Witnesses say it was a civilian car, no sign of fighters or anyone carrying weapons.

“Earlier today, central Gaza was pounded by bombardment, by air and by artillery. And in Khan Younis city, fierce fighting is reportedly ongoing between Palestinian fighters and Israeli forces on the ground,” Mahmoud adds.
