Al Jazeera Arabic correspondent Anas al-Sharif has said that the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza is completely flooded due to the heavy rains and lack of working sewage systems.

“In one playground of a school shelter, one boy pushes his brother’s wheelchair in the flooded streets, with water reaching up to their knees,” he said.

“There are fears that diseases and infections will spread,” al-Sharif said, adding that municipalities are not functioning due to being previously targeted by Israeli forces.
