Palestinians say they have no doubt as to who killed senior Hamas official Saleh al-Arouri and that it was an assassination, Al Jazeera’s Nida Ibrahim reports live from Arura, occupied West Bank

As for the mood here in the street, people believe that Israel assassinated al-Arouri to show its people a victory while it cannot guarantee a victory in the besieged Gaza Strip.

We’ve heard a lot of calls for revenge. And we’ve seen calls for a general strike in the occupied West Bank, where Palestinians have said all schools and public institutions will be closed to mourn al-Arouri’s death.

Here in Arura, we are expecting people to go to his mother’s house to mourn. They cannot go to al-Arouri’s house because it was blown up by Israeli forces when they came here at the end of October.
