At least 10 people were injured in Israeli artillery shelling on a school sheltering displaced Palestinians in Gaza’s Khan Younis, Al Jazeera reports.

According to Al Jazeera correspondent Hani Mahmoud, a home in the Az-Zawayda area in the central Gaza Strip, situated next to the Nuseirat refugee camp, was destroyed.

The home accommodated displaced Palestinians from different parts of Gaza. Initial reports said about four people were killed while 12 people with multiple injuries were rushed to Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir el-Balah.

Deir el-Balah, on the eastern side of Salah al-Din Street, came under heavy bombardment. It must be noted that this part of the city was designated as a safe area for people to go to to avoid being bombed.
