Ten raids have taken place in the cities of Ramallah, Al-Bireh, Hebron, Halhul, Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarem, and Jericho so far, Al Jazeera’s Imran Khan reports from Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

“The raid in Jenin is still ongoing. The focus of the raids is money exchange shops … shops the Israelis say have been used by the resistance movement to finance their activities … The latest time we saw money exchange places targeted was in 2016.

“The raid here in Ramallah was unparalleled. I counted at least 20 vehicles entering the city around 1:00 am (2300GMT Wednesday). Then there were fierce clashes that broke out in Al-Manara Square, which is in the centre of the city,” Khan says.

“There was a controlled explosion around 3:00am (0100GMT). Israeli forces went into a money exchange shop and arrested the owner of the shop. This was a raid unlike any other we have seen in the centre of Ramallah,” the reporter adds.
