LAHORE: Punjab caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the Captain Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed Flyover, spanning 742 meters with three lanes.

The flyover, completed in 90 days, is a signal-free corridor from Barkat Market Garden Town to Defence Morr Walton.

Because of the flyover the travel time between DHA Phase-VI and Liberty Market has been reduced to 15 minutes, and Walton Road could be accessed in just five minutes, the CM said, adding that it would ease the movement of 200,000 vehicles daily.

The CM said the Walton Road project would also be completed by Jan 31 to provide relief to the people.

"The new drainage system, being laid down at a cost of Rs9 billion, will save people from water accumulation on the roads," he said.
