SHANGLA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz provincial president Amir Muqam has claimed that after coming to power the PML-N government would empower the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa economically.

He was addressing a public meeting held in Gunangar area of Chakesar tehsil here on Tuesday. Former MPA Mohammad Rashad Khan, tehsil council chairman Bakht Alam, Tahir Khan and others also spoke on the occasion.

Mr Muqam claimed that Pakistan had been rapidly developing and was on track to prosperity when the PML-N government was ousted and fake cases were lodged against the party supremo Nawaz Sharif and other leaders.

He said the country’s prosperity and welfare was the PML-N’s topmost priority. “After coming to power the party would take the KP province to the heights of development and bring positive change in the people’s lives,” he declared.

Mr Muqam said he had initiated hundreds of development projects in the Shangla district. He said it had been his dream to provide facilities such as electricity, road, gas, education and health in the mountainous areas of Shangla.

The PML-N leader claimed the party would form the next government in the centre and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He promised initiating billions of rupees worth projects in Shangla to ease the people’s lives.

Gunangar village council chairman Fazal Manan and Awami National Party local leader Kareem Sayed announced joining the PML-N on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the district administration in collaboration with the excise department on Tuesday started profiling the non-custom paid vehicles in Shangla.

The authorities urged the owners to get their vehicles profiled.
