QUETTA: Five people were killed and 10 others were injured in two road accidents in Dalbandin and Coastal Highway area of Gwadar district on Friday.

Officials said that a pickup carrying people to Kharan from Dalbandin after attending a religious congregation, overturned on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) highway, leaving three people dead and 10 others injured.

“The pickup overturned due to speeding,” Levies Force officials said.

They rushed to the area soon after receiving the information about the accident and shifted the injured to the district hospital.

In another accident on Coastal Highway, two people were killed after their truck loaded with dates overturned on Buzi Top area due to heavy load.

Truck driver Din Mohammad and another man identified as Abdul Wasey were killed on the spot.
