The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has disposed of pleas filed by PTI’s Maleeka Bokhari and Ali Muhammad Khan against their detention and re-arrest.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb presided over the hearing during which the counsel for the PTI leaders, Taimur Malik, told the court that the two were arrested again under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance on the orders of the Rawalpindi deputy commissioner.

“A case in Rawalpindi does not fall within our jurisdiction,” the judge told the lawyer. “You should refer to the relevant forum — the Lahore High Court Pindi bench,” he said.
