Digital technology company 10Pearls hosted an Artificial Intelligence conference in Islamabad on Saturday that was attended by over 1,500 people from across the industry, entrepreneurs and students.

The AI summit, which was first held in 2019, aimed to share the latest developments in AI, recognise innovations by emerging entrepreneurs and have conversations with leading international and local experts, the company said in a press release.

More than 30 speakers participated in this year’s summit, which was held at the Pak-China Friendship Centre.

Some of the talks held at the conference were Cybersecurity Gets Smart, AI & National Governance, Impact of AI in the Fintech Space and Optimisation of BizOps through AI.

It also featured three panel discussions — AI Disruption in the Startup Ecosystem, Explainable AI & Healthcare 5.0 and GPT-3: Navigating the Crossroads of Technology and Humanity.

Besides this, three workshops on top AI tools, technologies and techniques were also held, which were attended by over 350 people, the press release said.

Six emerging startups — Autilent, VisionRD, Deutics Global, Adlytic AI, AI Care, and SINGE Network — showcased prototype demos at the event.

Syeda Sana Hussain, senior director, people and programmes at 10Pearls, termed the summit a “massive success”.

“It garnered massive footfall; both the conference track and workshops were fully packed with a super-charged and enthusiastic audience. All the emerging AI startups that showcased their products received a phenomenal response, attracting the interest of potential investors and the public alike.

“This incredible success of AI Summit 2023 shows the transformative role AI can play in addressing the complex challenges of today’s world, and 10Pearls is thrilled to be at the forefront of leading in innovation,” she added.
