LAHORE:Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Emir Sirajul Haq has linked stability to the general election, saying the polls on national and provincial seats must be held across the country on one date.
Presiding over a meeting of the central leadership at Mansoora on Saturday, the JI chief said transparent, free and fair elections were a solution to the problems.
The PDM, the PPP and the PTI, he said, gifted the people with inflation and unemployment. It was due to their flawed policies that the national economy was on the verge of collapse.
He said the rulers never paid attention to bringing reforms in the health and education sectors. Millions of children were out of schools due to poverty, and the people lacked access to basic health facilities and even clean drinking water.
The JI chief said the rulers looted the resources and kept the people deprived of their basic rights.
“We reject the mini-budget. We will take the masses to the streets against anti-poor policies of the PDM government,” he said.
